His outstanding works are Badhira Vilapam, Bandhanasthanaya Anirudhan, Oru Katha, Sishyanum Makanum, Magdalana Mariyam, Kochu Sita, Achanum Makalum, Sahitya Manjari, etc. He also translated Valmiki Ramayana and Rig Veda into Malayalam. Vallathol's efforts resulted in the revival of the art of Kathakali.
